Can ultrasound detect liver cirrhosis?

Ultrasound can suggest cirrhosis by showing:

• irregular liver surface
• enlarged spleen
• fluid in the abdomen
• changes in liver size

However, early cirrhosis may not always be visible.
Tests like FibroScan or Liver biopsy may be needed for confirmation.
